This week’s poem wonderfully reflects the beauty of motherhood. Lara begins by highlighting all the wondrous things on display as she gazes at her daughter. Her imagery conveys the intensity of a mothers love, a love so strong that it is sharp. As we follow her in this journey of love we see how her affection for her daughter leads her closer to God the father, and helps her love herself more through God. This is one of the beauties of motherhood that is not spoken about enough. Our children have a marvelous way of help us grow in love in so many dimensions.
